Hi,

I have been on Imuran for about 2 weeks now, along with Remicade.  This week has been awful.  I dread waking up because something new hurts.  It started with my upper legs, then my knee and today is bilateral arm pain...between my elbows and shoulders.  It's really really bad.  Anyone else have this issue with Imuran?  I almost want to just stop it...I am miserable.

Call you GI's office. Tell them of whats going on. It is important to give feedback if you are asked why you are calling the office.

Muscle pain and muscle weakness are considered serious side effects of Imuran. Hope you heard from your doctor.

I have stopped it! I wouldn't wish this drug on my worst enemy. It was pure torture. I am just going to stick to the Remicade and will take prednisone on an as need basis. But Imuran is out of my life forever. I would happily live with the D and stomach pains than ever take it again. I literally wanted someone to cut off my arms at the shoulders. Thank for taking the time to read this and reply- I appreciate it:)

I'm on Inmuran as well but it took a while of adjusting the milligrams to find the right dose cause of the side effects but finally we figured it out and is working for me along with Cimzia shots every two weeks, right now I just got over a upper resp infection so I had to stop my treatment but the joint pain is killing me does anyone has a suggestion to alleviate the pain?
