Upcoming gallbladder surgery?

I was wondering what to expect after my gallbladder is removed. I have heard that some people experience diarrhea after having their gallbladder removed. I recently have had a lot of trouble with constipation so I have been taking Miralax once a day. Was hoping that maybe after the surgery I would find some relief from the constipation but also hoping that I don't have too much problem with diarrhea. Any thoughts on this?

After having surgery (resection) I had to take Cholestyramine (Questran) for about a year to help with the issue of diarrhea. Specific foods may cause further issues too, I found this discussion for those that have had their gall bladders removed and what foods they're eating, not eating.

Hi , I had my Gallbladder out in January along with other things I also have an ileostomy (due to having fistula's) but I haven't experienced my output being anymore by having my gallbladder out Bev x
