I decided to go and see my Dr instead of my surgeon as he is ridiculously busy and I felt too guilty to hassle him about
something so trivial in the grand scheme of some of the other more serious work he does. Unfortunately my Dr was absolutely clueless – I think it was a bad day as he’s usually brilliant, i.e. he managed to refer to the skintag I have as a polyp, hemmie, wart and then finally a skintag all in one breath. But no he didn’t know why I had wind coming out/stools. He did say it was an advantage that I’m only seeing him in a few months as it will be clearer if it’s a permanent problem or just part of the healing process.
On the plus side the wind/stool coming out of the fistula tract has improved – it’s still happening but much less. I still get a lot of pain which is throbbing/stabbing but I’m hoping it’s all just part of the healing process as it’s almost 6 weeks now. My only concern is that I have bad days – i.e. 12 bowel movements in less than 12 hrs etc an I can only hope that it doesn’t impact on the healing.
p.s just re-read my original post – I sounded almost illiterate and will avoid writing posts with my iphone I mean ‘wash any to have a flap’.
