Hello, Im New To The Group...Ive Had My A Right Hemicolectomy Done, ON 1/31/13...Before Hand I Was Taking...Pentasa 500mg 6 per day...Now Im on Apriso 3x A Day...However, They Would Like Me To Go On, Humira ASAP...Any Feedback, Comments, Or Suggestions On This Medication???

Welcome to Healing Well! We have many members that have taken Humira or are taking Humira. Many members have found it greatly improved their symptoms. Others found it not as useful for them.

As with any medication, people have different levels of response.

My suggestion: Make sure you have your TB test prior to starting, and check your insurance coverage to see if you can afford it.

Thank You So Much For Ur Feedback...I Apologize for the delayed response...Im still trying to figure out how to navigate around the site, to find what and when I posted...smh...I spoke to someone who has Crohns, and has been on Remicade As well...She stated the Remicade stopped working for her...So ultimately, she began taking the Humira...The Humira has worked tremendously for her...She is not currently not on any medication...Thank God...Im Just hoping to feel better, and try to get some normalcy back in my life, and get it all under control...Lately, Iv had two iron infusions because my iron after the surgery dropped to 8.5...The lowest its been thus far...As per my GI doc, it indicates the Crohns is not under control...So Nutrition, And Getting It Under control is what we are aiming forward to...
