how was your stricture monitored

Hi
Does anyone have a large bowel stricture? If so how does your Dr monitor it. I had a large partial bowel stricture, it was found in 2010. I was put on humirs for my chrons disease, cut to 2013, my stricture got worse and went on to preforate my bowel.... I havebt had a colonoscopy since 2010. And haven't had any scans or procedures since to monitor the stricture.

Can anyone tell me what their Dr does to monitor their stricture.

I'm actually quite suprised your Dr hasn't done a scope of scan since then. I get a scope a year whether I like it or not :), partly because I've had this DD for well over 30 years.

If you are experiencing abdominal paine or bloating I'd ask your Dr if he/she plans on doing any tests to investigate. If not, I'd find a new gastro.

Hi thanks for ur reply, its too late now , due to the stricture my bowel perforated, and I got peronitis I have now lost my bowel.

Yeah I was surprised I hadn't had a scope since. That's why I wanted advice on what other drs do
