Hi  Kazbern,

I noticed you take colazal--but do you really take 96 pills! I'm interested in any information you can share about this drug.

  I'm on Apriso but when I meet with my gastro at the end of the month, I plan to ask to switch to Asacol HD, Colazal, or possibly Pentasa.  I have crohn's colitis and currently flaring. I have never felt that Lialda or Apriso did much for me.  Thanks

I take the generic, balsalazide, and I take 6 pills per day. I used to take 9. I revised my signature by crossing out the 9 and putting in 6 - it must look weird but you're the first person to ask this question, LOL!

Just saw your answer. Thanks. Unfortunately I have to start pred again ; / not happy. I wonder if colazal would help with crohn's colitis. main concern is continued weight oss which I guess won't stop til the big D does.

Cannynancy, where is your inflammation?

I can't say much about balsalazide positive or negative - I started taking it a few years ago when I had to quit Pentasa because of tinnitus. I've been in a good remission for a while now and so far so good.

doc says I have crohn's colitis--colon is where the inflammation is. biggest problem right now is weight loss.
