steroids

 

   I was just wondering  opinion/ experiences with steroid treatments.   I am currently on prednisolone starting at 60 tapering each weeks for four weeks at 15 less each week,     This is the only thing I have been on in 3 years that offers me any quality of life.  My PC is against steroids for long usage.   I say I'd like to try for a few months at a lower dosage, to at least let me get to drs appts and do things people normally can do, like leave the house. I have been housebound for over a year with this freaking disease and the anxiety that comes along with it.

So....if anyones on them or has been I was just wanting insight.   And if you have been on them over a month or two what side effects were you warned about?

tried all the diets and nothing made a diff. never heard of helminth, so will look that up. With the humira, its been avoided due to my family risk of leukemia, lymphoma & melanoma; also its not preferred if you have an open wound like my PG.
