My suggestion is to look into IGG allergy testing, It is only beginning to be recognized in small studies as a cause for CD symptoms. I had mine done a couple years ago and it has made a world of difference. There is only one Dr in my area that does it and she is a holistic MD. If you go directly through the lab the test is $1500-$2000, most insurance doesn't cover it. My dr did it without ins and it cost me $250-$350, I can't remember now. Also be aware that certain meds will interfere with the results, I know cortico steroids do and I would assume that biologics would too since their job is to shut down the immune response. So if you decide to try it look very carefully at what meds will interfere with the results and how long you have to be off of them before having the test done. My sed rate was always 80-110 before I had the test done and was 22(with minor diet cheats) at my follow up the following year, not to mention the extreme symptom relief I have experienced.
I have posted about my experiences and IGG studies on here before, If you search IGG and crohns on here you can probably find the links to studies. I wish this was recognized as true medicine here, most dr's blow it off, and bc of the high cost most people think it is just some expensive scam. But as someone who has had it done and had great success I highly recommend it. Also google ASCA and crohns, as for many of us(60-80%) yeast is a major trigger for symptoms, and by yeast I mean all yeast, bakers, brewers, naturally occurring on and in fresh fruits and veggies, anything fermented, hard cheeses, most things processed etc. Yeast makes pin pointing foods extremely difficult and without the test is one I NEVER would have figured out on my own and it was huge and highly reactive, there were other foods as well that I commonly ate that had a lesser reaction. Also note that this test is for delayed reactions not the IGE immediate reactions like hives.
