CIMZIA! Anyone w/severe Crohn's on CIMZIA?

Please help!

I have had severe Crohn's for 12 years and will be going on CIMZIA soon. I have been on all the rest of meds 49/50. I would LOVE feedback, especially from those of you who it HAS worked for and those of you who have had side effects, not so much those of you who it hasn't worked for.

ALSO: If it has helped you, I would love to know how.  Like what symptoms did you have before Cimzia, what is better now etc.

I am very nervous SO any help/feedback/suggestions is appreciated.

I was on Cimzia for over 2 years and it was a wonderful drug for me. Before Cimzia, I was on Humira and tried nearly all of the pill type drugs but nothing would stop my heavy bleeding. Out of everything I have tried, Cimzia worked the best for me. I had no side effects except sometimes when I took my Cimzia, I would occasionally have a slight bit of dizziness but it always passed a few hours later. I usually have such terrible reactions to medications but Cimzia didn't give me any adverse effects.
Before the biologics, my disease was so severe they wanted to remove my colon because I bled so heavily. I would take 4 units of blood at one sitting. I had lost most of my hair, had sores on my feet, had frequent heart problems and my weight was down to 100lbs.
I am no longer on Cimzia simply because it stopped working for me but because it stabilized me, I am now able to maintain my remission with Lialda and Rowasa.

I just finished my 3 loading doses of cimzia. I started after I flared last month and I think between it and the prednisone it's calmed things down. I noticed some improvement after the 2nd dose and more after the 3rd. I had a lot of cramping and pain.

I've had a ton of trouble with it though. It was better after the 3rd dose and I'm hoping my body is adjusting. Joint pain and fatigue, as well as 4-5 days of migraines after the shots. I just had fatigue after the 3rd dose so hopefully I won't have any more side effects. Both humira and remicade gave me trouble with fatigue and joint pain.

I just started Cimzia 8 days ago. Im having less BMs already and a little bit less cramping. However I do notice that I am extremely tired. Yesterday I woke up at noon and then continued to sleep on and off for the rest of the day. Today is a little better as far as the fatigue. Has anyone else have this problem when starting Cimzia? I so hope this medicine helps all us that it has been prescribed for!

I attended a research program for the approval of the drug Cimzia to be marketed in Europe and Israel. During the study I received a stroke which caused me to lose sight of my right eye. As a result, I was removed from the research for the reason that it couldn't be ruled out that the PEG may have been the cause for the stroke. Now I'm using the drug Humira which doesn't contain the PEG that can cause a stroke.The difference between Cimzia and Humira is that Cimzia is a drug which is taken once a month compared to Humira that is taken every two weeks but the risk factor of having a stroke doesn't exist (In Humira).

Please be aware of the high risk of using Cimzia

I was on Cimzia for about 1-1/2 years. I did have some relief, but not enough of a response to continue the med. I was on 1 injection every 2 weeks. the once a month wasn't enough. No major side effect - rash at injection site, hair loss... My Crohns is considered severe - all signs and symptoms with no bleeding - it did not help the joint pain or fatigue.

I hope it works for you! I know several people that have gotten relief from this med. No need to be afraid of it. I found it to be one of the easier drugs to manage.
