Ive Been On Humira Since The Middle Of August...I Was Wondering What Difference Should I Be Feeling At This Point? I Do Sometimes Feel I Have More Energy...But At Times, My Stomach Still Goes A Lil HayWire...Depending On Stress...Which I Am Often, Or Something I Eat...I Had My First, And Hopefully Last Resection. God Willing, In Jan 2013...Although I Am On Humira, Im Assuming I Still Have To Be Careful With What I Eat, To Get Better Results...Any Insight Is Helpful Thank You All...I Think I May Even Have Food Allergies...Smh...Boy, Oh Boy...This Disease...

My Daughter has been on Remicade for about 6 months now. I'm not sure that the peak effectiveness would happen at the same rate with Humira, but our GI told us that with Remicade it takes about 6 months.

I think the best thing to do is have some diagnostics done after about 6 months. An MRE would be good to get as it's not invasive.

i think i started about the same time on humira and feel the same way as you do almost. when i was on remicade i could eat whatever i wanted and felt great but with humira i dont think it's as strong. for me it keeps my symptoms at bay but i still feel kinda lousy. diet has a lot to do with how i feel but i just haven't figured it out yet. mayby it just takes awhile to really heal.

Thank You @ 73monte...The Two Drugs, Humira And Remicade Are In The Same Family, As Far As Being Biologics...But, Their May Be Some Sort Of Difference...I Definitely Think Having Some Test Done, To Check Would Be Best...

@Rango16...Yes, I Keep Hearing Different Time Frames, As Far As How Long It Takes To Work...But I Called Into The Doc's Office, And The Nurse Told Me, If I Wasn't Feeling Any Better By The End Of This Month, That They Would Need To Stop It...Smh...But, Im Definitely Willing To Wait A While To See, If It Will B Any Significant Changes...I Do Not Feel I Can Eat Whatever I Want...I Wish...Lol...I Do See That Diet Is Very Important, Especially As Far As How You Are Feeling...Hard Thing Is, Sometimes A lot Of The Diet Is Trial N Error...I Really Need To Look Into SCD Diet, Sooner Than Later...Thank You For Your Input, I Appreciate It!!!

I've been on it since June, and I don't feel that it's working. I get very sick as soon as I taper the steroids. My doctor wanted me to give it another month, then he wants to up my shots to once a week. I just don't feel like if it ever worked at 2 shots a month that it will work at 4 shots a month. I personally think it's wasting my time at this point.

What's worse is after I take my injection twice now I've gotten REALLY painful migraines. The first one landed me in the ER for fluids and medications. This second one happened on Sunday, Monday I saw my doctor and it took two different shots to get the pain under control. My primary was not happy with me continuing the Humira. He felt that it should be working by now, and that since it's not, it's really not worth these migraines I'm getting.

I have a call back in to my GI doc about it. I have a feeling he's going to want me to keep taking it. But I think after 3-6 months if it isn't working it probably won't.

@Jen77...Im So Sorry, For The Migranes...And Trust Me, I Totally Feel Your Frustration...Im So Ready To Just Have This Thing Totally Under Control, So I Can Continue Living My Life, As Normal As Possible...I Would Say, Wait Until You See The Doctor, And Decide What You Think Is Best For You...I Would Say, Increasing The Dosage, Would B Worth A Shot...But With Your Severe Migranes, Its Kinda Questionable...Like Hit Or Miss...Smh...I Wish You The Best Of Luck, And Hope You Find A Regimen/Medication That Works For You...This Battle Unfortunately Is One We Have To Stay N To Win...Even At The Most Difficult, And Questionable Times...Have You Ever Tried Remicade? And Is The Steroids The Only Medication You Have Been On, Besides The Humira???
