pancreatitis from prednisone?

Has anyone here gotten pancreatitis after using prednisone?

I'm currently going through a nasty flare and now I've got what feels like muscle pain running from my neck down to just below my rib cage, it's incredibly painful and I can't take a deep breath because of the pain. Now after a visit to Dr. Google (I know, bad idea) I've realised that it's possible I'm not going through a flare, and it's perhaps pancreatic exhaustion...

Regardless I will be talking to my specialist tomorrow, but in the mean time if there's anyone here who's been through it before I'd be interested in hearing your story.

I had a pancreatitis breakout from Lialda. The pain generally prevents you from eating. You get your food in your stomach and you either throw it back up or your eyes feel like they're going to pop out of your head from the pain.

The pain is definitely 10+ on the pain scale. Get to the doctor if you think it really is pancreatitis.

The pain is at the top of your stomach or it feels like a stiff line right at your diaphragm.

do you guys consume alcohol? if so, how much and how frequently ? seems like your pancreatitis episodes were not from alcohol.

I've never had alcohol in my life (Mormon).

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I personally have not dealt with pancreatis from prednisone but I do not doubt anything with that drug. It is by far the worst drug I have had yet!!! Do you ever experience Myopathy with it I do and it is terrible I also experience the worst kidney pain!!
