Over the last two weeks I have been gassy and not having ideal bms.


It's not diaherra but it's not perfect either. It's softer smaller pieces that fall apart in the water (little air bubbles come out). Not sure what to make of this as I still only go once a day. Only thing I've done different is been under stress, drinking a lot more water (use to drink maybe a glass every 2 days, now 3-4 a day) and started rogaine (not sure if it can cause gi issues).


Any ideas? Not sure if it's a flare or not. I feel fine. And have no problem eating.



Also I had a resection in 2011 (where large meets small) and been in remission since if that matters.

It doesn`t sound like a flare. But do you know that you have more neurotransmissors i your gut than in your brains?

So stress could explain that symptoms. Most people here would give a kidney to have your kind of symptoms only! Even after a resection. So, congratulations and don`t worry too much.

I had the same problem for a few weeks on the tail end of a flare up.. I would just watch it closely and if it gets ANY worse, contact your GI immediately.. otherwise, it doesn't sound bad enough to worry that a flare is coming on. A colonoscopy might be a good idea too, even though those are no fun to prep for!
