This is new??? glug glug pulse in my gut??

I have benn dx'd for almost 24 years now....I was really lucky for 22 years with minor kick ups and weird skin issues.  Now I am getting all sorts of new things going on.  Seriously???  I feel like I am starting all over again learning my (old) body.

So I am sitting here at work and my gut at my TI (where my rupture resection was in 1990) is pulsing with a glug glug feel...you know like when the spot below your eye twitches...only this thuds.  What the heck???  I really miss my old normal.

Amen to that! I started with nearly bleeding to death in my sigmoid colon to now the severe pain and joys of pancolitis and severe inflammation. I hate this DD!
Hopefully your glug-glug is something simple that will resolve itself.

I had something similar going on last week. After having a major bowel movement (so I knew I was not obstructed) it felt like my TI area went into spasm. It was very uncomfortable and lasted about 24 hours. I had decided that if it went on one more day, that I was going to call my GI, but then it stopped. For me, I'm worrying that I'm building up scar tissue in my TI and it is narrowing or something...or maybe it is another variation of IBS. I don't really know. Just letting you know you are not alone!!

You are most likely feeling your own pulse. The biggest veins and arteries in your body run straight down through your abdomen from the heart. The abdominal aorta begins at the diaphragm, splitting to become the paired iliac arteries in the lower abdomen. Most of the major organs receive blood from branches of the abdominal aorta.
