Dr Hanuer anyone?

Hi. Finally, my daughter is getting closer to her appointment with Dr. Hanauer at NW, and we hope he can help her. She has not felt well for the past 2 weeks, abdominal pain. After repeated attempts for my daughter to see her GI in Chicago, with not ONE call back from him, she is had to contact her surgeon in NYC to speak to someone to help her for the moment.

Does anyone see Dr. Hanauer, who has recently moved to NW?

I have not seen him as I live in Northern MI, but I am originally from Chicago. He was head of the program at U of Chicago and recently moved to Northwestern. I have heard from others that he is very smart but doesn't have a great personality. But maybe you need smart right now. Let us know how it goes. I just booked an appointment for a second opinion with Dr Rubin at U of Chicago, but I have to wait until September to see him.

Hi Beckysmom,
When is the appointment for your daughter scheduled with Dr. Hanauer? I can't get in with Dr. Rubin until September. I might be able to see Dr. Hanauer sooner. Please let me know how you like him so I can decide what to do about this. I hope you get great info and your daughter can get the help she needs. Thanks for all of your support BTW.

Hi gumby, so glad you are home! My daughter will see him in 3 weeks. I will let you know how it goes for her. My daughter is at college out there so I will not get to meet him.
