I was just diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and have been advised to take 6MP with Remicare. Does anyone know if 6MP causes hair loss?

Hello,

My son has taken 6mp for over 2 years and has had some hair loss nothing crazy though only seems to become noticeable when his hair starts to grow in.

I take folic acid to help keep my hair from falling out when on 6mp. I take 800 mcg 4x's a day.

6MP never caused me to lose my hair, but the stress of a flare does cause me hair loss.

I have taken 6mp the whole time that I was diagnosed. Never caused me to lose hair. Have you tried any other options? Simply moving to 6mp AND Remicade seems aggressive. I did 4 months of prednisone while stacking 6mp with it. Worked very well. Not saying Remicade isnt an option, just seems aggressive.

Pretty sure 6MP/Aza and a biologic is pretty standard, not aggressive. I've been on both for several years.
