Cd in mouth?

I have been having problems with a sore throat and ulcers and swollen tonsils and glands in my mouth for about 3 months. Many tests and cultures and ct and ultrasounds later there are still no answers. my ears nose throat doc has never seen cd of the mouth but swears that he thinks that is what it is. My gastroenterologist also has never seen it and says it can't be but I am starting to think there is no other explanation. Anyone else have cd of the mouth? Started entyvio beginning of July.

I suffered from similar symptoms throughout my life and concluded it was CD after starting remicade several years ago. I'm on humira now and I rarely get mouth issues any more.
I hope you get someone to believe you soon and get relief. In the meantime try avoiding surgary or greasy foods. Those were always a trigger for me.

Crohn's can be from mouth to anus, so it's certainly possible that's what you've got. I'm not really surprised that your GI would be skeptical.

I doubt, if I asked my old GI to take a look at my mouth when I've had these issues, that he would even have an available tongue depressor in his office with which to do so. My limited experience with several GIs, and frankly with most specialists I've seen, is that they seem to ignore what's going on with the rest of the body as if it didn't exist. He would look at me like a deer in the headlights whenever I talked about my arthritis or eye problems. I know they're not all that way.

My son gets the mouth sores all the time. Our GI said for sure it's crohns related....I've read elsewhere that it's not uncommon for crohns patients to get mouth and throat sores.
