I understand what you're describing...for years now, about for as long as my gallbladder has been gone, I've had touch and go issues with C, and my D issues all but dried up (trying to be punny). Lately it's been very common, and I experience the same pain occasionally, it feels like there's a sharp edge or something in the fecal matter which hits a nerve ending and sends an unexpected and sudden jolt of pain. Sometimes it feel like it in the rectum, sometimes I'll just be standing, and it feels as if as the mass moves through the colon there's either ulceration or sore spot that it hits and I get a severe shock of pain that feels like it radiates out the belly button or even the scrotum...very weird. It's the type of pain that shuts everything down for the split second, like a split second into a system wide shock where I can't talk, I don't move, and just try not to double over...and as quickly as it hits...it's gone. Personally I just have to get off my butt and schedule another colonoscopy as it's been a while.
