How to use Welchol

I'm suffering from post-surgery gas/diarrhea so I asked my GI for Questran. He called in a script for Welchol 625mg instead, which I'm willing to try. However, the instructions were to take three tablets each morning. Is that the best way to use Welchol? I mean, is it better to take it just before each meal like with Questran?

I decided that I would start by taking one tablet and see how that goes before ramping up to three. So far my symptoms are much better than previous days so it looks positive so far.

If you are have a bad day, how do you take it for best effect? Do you take it right before meals, or what?
