Hello All,
I'm 34 and have had bowel movement problems for the last year and increasing discomfort in the abdomen for the last month and a half. The GI ordered a colonoscopy for me, and I naively thought that it would be easy! Just another regimen to follow. Nope.
I was told to drink moviprep. I threw up the contents of my stomach multiple times; and I was gagging (i.e. not going down) the last few cups of the mix. So now my scope is scheduled for just 3 hours from now and I have yet to have any bowel movement since yesterday morning's 'normal' one.
I had tried making the drink cold, using a straw, chugging, sipping; nothing worked.
I also had been attentive to eating low fibre this last three days and drinking more liquids.
The clinic is going to reject me, I know that.
The GI may offer a different drink mix, but probably not a whole different regime. I understand that no prep regime is easy. What can I do in the future to help ensure a successful prep?
