Has anyone developed antibodies to Humira? I'm having the same symptoms I had with Remicade when I develped antibodies even though I am taking weekly injections  of the Humira and methotrexate as well...
I am using a cane because my joints are so sore and painful I can barely walk. Also, painful tummy area (cramping) and bloody D.
 

Also, the fatigue is unbelievable!  And increased hair loss..


 What the heck is going on?????

I didn't think you could develop anti-bodies to Humira. I thought that it was exclusive to Remicade since Humira isn't a mouse protein. Taking either along with another immunosuppressant is suppose to lessen the liklihood of anti-bodies as well.

That was the thought early on with the development of this class of drugs, Tom, but it turns out that people can develop antibodies to Humira as well.

I had a similar issue with fatigue and excruitiating joint pain whilst on Humira. Tests showed I had developed drug-induced Lupus. I would have your treating Doctor test you for that.

Im sorry to hear about your issues with the humira, I am sure you feel discouraged as do I after reading your post.
I, like you, developed antibodies to Remicade and was hoping to go with the Humira. I was told the same that since it is not animal protein I should be fine but I am terrified to use it.
When I took Remicade on the first try not only did I go into remission but my vision was even better, colors brighter and the world a little more forgiving, of course I am embellishing here but the point is I felt better and I want that back, I deserve that after what I have been through, all if us have been through.
I recall walking with a cane also to keep pressure off my pelvis, using Depends before my bag and screaming and rocking in agony but since my hysterectomy I have since gone into remission ( knock, knock, knock on wood ), went from 88 pounds to 107 (yippee) but I was really hoping for some back up and hoped the Humira would give me that but here I am thinking about "drug-induced" Lupus. Tell me more about that could you? More on your experiences, more on what you think the connection is with what the Humira and the pain on your joints/fatigue etc.?

Could the joint pain be Crohn's Arthritis? DH just diagnosed with that.

I don't know.
I'm told "fibromyalgia" whatever that is...
My joints hurt and my skin feels sun burned ...sometimes.

Yes, I developed antibodies to Humira after 3 great years on it. Stopped working and I developed fistula.

Humira worked for me for two years then all the Crohns symptoms came back, now I on Entyvio for two months, too early to tell if it is working, they say six months.

I have had it with all my pain..my back, my knees, the stabbing in my pelvis
