Canadian pharmacy?? For a specific medication.

Hi there. I am wondering if anyone has ordered medication through a reputable online Canadian pharmacy? I am taking Asacol EC 400 mg tablets and just ran out of my medication. I just found out that they discontinued this medication in 2013. I went off my medication while I was pregnant and nursing, so now I am looking for a way to fill my prescription. My GI said I could try Canada and I found from my searches that some people have ordered their Asacol EC 400mg from Canada since it hasn't been discontinued in Canada. I know there are other options of meds to choose from, but I'd rather not switch medications at this point. So I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a Canadian pharmacy that is reputable and I can trust to send me the right medication. Thanks so much!!

I was still taking that when they first discontinued it. My GI doctor first switched me to Asacol HD. I think they were a higher mg, so that I didn't have to take quite as many a day.

Of course that's the weakest drug out there for us, so I was taken off shortly after once everything started getting much worse. But you could see about the HD version. There was a card they gave me to help with the copay even.

Thank you for the replies. I do have Crohn's. I've had it for over 20 years. I've been on Asacol for 10 years. I will look into the legality of ordering from Canada. Since my doctor suggested it, I thought it was ok, but thanks for the heads up, I will look into it. And I did try to get the Asacol HD, but my insurance is not wanting to cover it, they want me to try another medication and I don't want to switch meds right now because I keep reading about the side effects people were having from switching medications when Asacol 400 mg was discontinued. I know there was Delzicol that replaced it too, but I read a lot of people had side effects from it. So after I heard that you can get the Asacol 400 mg it in Canada I thought I would look into that option. I'm assuming if my ins covered it, switching to Asacol HD 800 mg would be the best thing and just half my dose from the 400 mg, but since they won't cover it, I'm trying to not have to switch to a new drug like Delzicol or Lialda. Just wanted to find a reputable Canadian company that has worked for others. Thank you for taking the time to reply, I really appreciate it.

Beave - Asacol has done wonders for me over the last 10 years when nothing else worked so I prefer to stay with it, if possible. But thank you for the information, I really appreciate it - always good to know other's opinions. It may not have helped everyone, but it helped me :)

I had good luck with alldaychemist.com but they only have asacol aka mesacol.
