Great article....thanks for sharing it. I have a friend who is paraplegic and very active in the disability community and I shared it with her. I am healthy enough with my Crohn's that I've not needed to apply for disability for work, but Crohn's definitely limits me from doing my job well and impacts significantly in my life. So yeah, I do consider Crohn's a disability.

I consider Crohns a disability as well, but maybe because it's an invisible illness or because I'm not in a wheelchair, I think I would feel guilty calling myself disabled in front of someone visibly disabled.
I've been applying for jobs everyday and they always ask if I have one of these 20 disabilities and Crohns disease is never represented.

seeing this article at first made me upset because i didnt see it as a disability. but looking and thinking about it, it is, but in our own sense. thanks flr sharing!
