Just a refresher for those that didn't read my first post, I had a very serious perirectal abcess in September and had to have emergency surgery. It was bad, I could have died! The infection was severe. I also have lymphocytic colitis and lpr. I went back to the gastro doc a couple weeks ago and I am having my colonoscopy and endoscopy this week at the same time to check me for Crohn's. I start prep Wednesday and will have scopes Thursday morning. I am so nervous! This will be my 3rd one, but I was very young for the first one and I remember feeling it and being in so much pain!!! The 2nd, I don't remember anything except them putting the mouth piece in my mouth for the upper scope. To be blunt, my rectum still doesn't feel healed and everytime I have a bm, it burns afterwards and basically still feels raw all the time. I told the gastro this and he said that can be very normal and he will look at everything when he does the scope.
So, please make me feel better about
this! I'm nervous about
the prep, it's going to kill me! I am nervous about
feeling anything, I don't want to!!! And I'm nervous about
the results, although it would be nice to know if I do have Crohn's so I can be treated and get better. And I'm hoping that my rectum is healed because I don't want another surgery right now! Thanks in advance for the support!
