@Nikki - Ah okay. It really does sound like you were fobbed off with the IBS diagnosis, to be honest. The whole point about
IBS is that it doesn't have any detectable markers - no raised inflammation, etc. However boring, I think you have to keep on pressing ahead with the tests until you get a proper diagnosis.
