For those who have failed biologics. Not 100% effectiveness by any means, but it's always nice when there is another option when nothing else works.

Yeah, I'm hoping I can get onto Stelara or Entyvio, if I need to go on a biologic in the future. I failed Remicade so comprehensively the first time I really don't see the point of going on that - or any other anti-TNF - again.

After six weeks, 34 percent of patients receiving either Stelara dose achieved a target reduction in Crohn's symptoms, compared with 22 percent of those taking a placebo.

Just wish the stats were a bit more encouraging... :/

I'm trying Entivio here, wish there were stats for it. 3rd loading dose on the 29th. No joy here yet.

I started Stelara 10 days ago; It worked great for the first 6 days but has mostly worn off. I have to wait another 18 days until my next loading dose. Then it is every 3 months.

My current dose is 45mgs subcutaneously which is the standard dosage for Psoriasis. This was the dose that my insurance co approved.

Dosing seems to be an issue for IBD patients, my GI talked about a 90 mg dosage for CD or Stelara delivered via IV.

It's interesting that the study in the article was using IV.

The only side-effect that I noticed was some itching which I treated with an antihistamine.
