There is absolutely no communication between my hospital and my GP surgery. Absolutely none at all. None whatsoever. If lives depended on it, they could probably couldn't get their act together to save any of them. My GP won't prescribe me 6MP because she's not getting the blood test results (like what does it matter to her? The hospital is meant to be responsible for monitoring my bloods, which is why I'm having to trek all the way to Luton & Dunstable instead of my local GP surgery to get my blood tests in the first place). But it is impossible, so it seems, to get anyone from my hospital to get in touch with my GP. The conpetent IBD nurse has buggered off, leaving god knows who in her place.
Tried phoning every number I could think of this morning - IBD nurse, GI secretary, somebody else I didn't recognise - and all three just had ****ing answering machine messages. What's the point of a secretary who doesn't answer the phone, seriously?
I run out of 6MP tonight. Even if I get the prescript
ion today there's no guarantee of getting my medication today, in fact I wouldn't. I'm seriously on the verge of badly losing my temper with somebody. Meanwhile, I'm meant to be going on a merry jaunt 300 miles up north today for a few days to stay with my brother. My plan was to stop off at L&D, pick up a prescript
ion, get my blood/stool tests done, then hop on the M1. It's almost on top of the hospital. Some lucky people get a view of the Dunstable Downs from their ward windows; I just saw hideous concrete outbuildings and a motorway from mine.
I tried to sort all this out last week to absolutely no available. Yesterday I couldn't go to the hospital because the garage took at least two hours longer to service my car than I thought they were going to. (Not entirely their fault, as I got the car in a bit late. Thought 10-ish would be sufficient, but it turns out I should have come in at 8-ish.)
I'm gonna send a very short message to an IBD nurse now. Still incensed.
