Any suggestions to relieve perianal fistula pain?

Had a colonoscopy a couple of days ago and since then my fistula has been hurting. I don't know whether the prep or the procedure itself irritated it or is just because this is week 5 and my remicade infusion is due next week. I failed to relieve the pain. Any suggestions?

For perianal pain I use Prax which contains pramoxine, order it over the counter through your pharmacist. By prescription your dr can order heavier strength lidocaine, the shelf products are rather weak.

Another product that I use is Balneol, and anal cleanser that keeps the area squeaky clean, I use it after every bowel movement and it has worked wonders for me. It can also be ordered through your pharmacist over the counter. Also I use Calmoseptine which helps protect the area and eliminate the itching. Order through the pharmacist. These can also be ordered through Amazon.

The previous post suggest sitz baths: that is your most effective way to soften the area and bring circulation back into it.
