Hi hv2miracles, (I figured I'd respond here rather than the other thread)
Yeah crohns can cause a number of problems that are not frequently discussed and not GI related. I have it predominantly In one knee as well and it's a sign of a bad flare. It will usually swell and get very warm. if a flare gets bad enough it can be cause pain in all of my joints. It gives me difficulty walking and going up and down stairs.
What medications (if any) are you on? Have you spoken to your doctor about it? Once a flare is under control with the proper meds the joint pains should go away though I found prednisone would sometimes make it worse because it weakened the muscles around my knees. After I was off of it it would clear up over a short time. I had over a year without any joint issues after being on humira, it did an amazing job for all of the crohns related issues I had going on. I eventually had to stop it though due to side effects. I'm now on remicade but but it is actually causing some joint problems although usually for most people it will actually help the joints (I'm having issues with antibodies).
I hope you get some relief soon!
