Welcome! Sorry to hear about
your diagnosis.
Although sometimes, a diagnosis is a relief because it means everything you're going through can be managed!
I'm not sure why your doctor said there are limited meds. Is he a GI? If not, then I strongly suggest that you get a new one. Almost all Crohn's meds are safe for pregnancy, except for Methotrexate, which isn't prescribed all that often, and usually in addition another medication anyway.
Overall, the best medication for Crohn's is Remicade. These are infusions you get through an IV, typically every 8 weeks. All it does is repress the immune system a bit, so your baby is protected while inside of you. And usually after being born, you avoid public places (which you should do anyway) for 8 weeks (the typical length of time Remicade stays in the system) and don't do any live vaccines for the six months or year (which I think is only the rotavirus vaccine).
I've had two successful pregnancies while on Remicade before, during, and after each pregnancy. I have not had ANY problems with it, and both my kids are perfectly healthy, normal development, etc.
