I had 2 setons inserted last week. I have very little drainage, it seems only at night, but I smell. Can anyone recommend a type of wash or something?

UB,

I used an antibacterial body wash I got at the hospital. I don't know if any bacterial wash will work but I would give them a try.

I also used a little bottle filled with water to rinse myself several times a day...if I couldn't take a shower...
I understand where you are coming from. I could smell myself also. The RVF is the worse....

And remember...sometimes we think we are worse than we are.

I have a removable shower head and I did a ton of sitz baths. If I had to use the bathroom at work or just wanted to freshen up, baby wipes. And they were recommended by my surgeon who put the setons in. Also..I carry a light mist body spray and if I smell something spritz my wrists or thigh area of my clothes. The best thing I've tried is the wet wipes or baby wipes and I place 2-3 sheets of gauze folded in half up against the seton to keep the drainage in one area and easily removable. Hope that helps!
