Hi all, not sure if you remember but I had my MRI 3 weeks ago and get my results tomorrow.I had a calproctecin level of greater than 600 the highest it goes but told its not specific. My consultant said the biopsy results of colonoscopy said there's no evidence of crohns and he said he thinks it was a severe bug but they couldnt even visualise the small bowel. And my stool sample for infection was normal. At first I was told by another consultant its likely crohns. I've just recieved my results for my stool sample which I took again but since the consultant told me its likely an infection I've kind of told myself that's wat it is and terrified to even look at results. Stupid I know but I see my consultant tomorrow and want a good nite sleep. Worried wat they might find. I'm scared my calproctecin is going to be high again as the receptionist at my gp surgery didn't say whether its normal and sent my results to me by email to give my consultant. Wen u have an MRI and it's normal wouldn't I get a letter? I'm trying to mentally prepare myself that I have crohns if my calproctecin is high. Am I over analysing things?
