update from mayo.....

Had resection surgery on Tuesday. Today ia Saturday ans still in hospital. Maybe released tomorrow. Glad I did the surgery now instead of waiting. Ended up taking out a ball of stuff stuck all together. Although they did not show on the scans prior.the surgeon found several fistualas. They took 13.3inches of small and another 4 inches of large intestines. with my gut malrotation, my anastomsis site is locate in my left upper quadrant near my rib cage.

Obviously the humira was not working.

I can tell you after 5differetn surgeries in 4different hospitals, mayo the best. The staff ratio is high, and it is all the little things they do to make sure you recover

Glad to hear you got good care and got through the surgery ok. I hope you have a speedy recovery and a nice remission. I don't know what to say about maintenance meds, but I'm curious to hear what the experts at Mayo recommend. Glad you are over the hardest part

Take your time and keep using the pain meds! That surgery is brutal. Might be a month or two before the nerves settle and the pain really goes.
