Definitely, with apologies to Shakespeare, I'm very perplexed at this stage of my Crohn's. The norm has become now that I can go on for 6 days w/o having a single bm. This is totally opposite to what I have been suffering from for 11 years, which is mainly d. So, I started to add a gastric regulator and could have a bm after 6 days. But this regulator causes lower right quadrant cramps and sometimes severe stabbing pain.
Took my Remicade dose yesterday and discussed this issue with the doctor who gave me Remi. She asked whether I did not get cramps when constipated and I said it was perfectly fine. Cramps only hit when I have bms. She explained to me too that this constipation is the cause of the blood clots I got recently. She recommended I continue the regulator.
I have to mention too that my GI decided last time I saw him I should start a slower taper of budesonide and should reach 3 mg at my own pace. I have been on 7 mg of cortiment (budesonide that acts on the colon) and on steroids in general for almost 8 years now. I'm steroid-dependent.
When I get spasmodics to soothe pain, I become constipated, whereas when I take the regulator, I can have a bm but pain hits. Things can't continue like this as I have been complaining from this problem for almost three months but it was overshadowed by the dental abscess which hasn't been cleared up till now.
