Swallowing Hurts - remicade?

Well in theory Crohn's can affect anywhere from the anus to the mouth, so it can't be ruled out. Could be something like GERD or achalasia too.

The only way to find out what it is is to have tests. Starting with an endoscopy most likely.

I'd suspect thrush/candida overgrowth for pains with swallowing. I've had that before when I was on prednisone (also common with those with asthma inhalators). Take a flashlight and shine it inside your mouth at your mirror. Look for white patches on your tongue, along the insides of your cheeks, and around your mouth as much as you can as with thrush/candida you should see them. A general practitioner or family doctor can take a look and diagnose and give you some antibiotics.

I went to an urgent care walk in facility. They did a swab of Strep (negative), tonsils are find and no signs of inflamation. Also, he didnt see any white patches.. He then did an x-ray because he wanted to check the soft tissues in the neck around it (negative). Said the dry mouth and throat i have can be from remicade. He referred me to an ENT Dr..I dont want to say its the remicade because I am a smoker (dont cough or have flem).
