Over the years I have came and went on this forum I have tried many things and all eventually fail. I was on Cholestyramine powder it worked for about
a year, then the pharmacy gave me the sugar free, the manufacture apparently ran out of mine. It did not work. I eventually got mine back but because of chemical changes in the powder it no longer works. Last month I hit my lowest point I was so sick. The meds the Drs give me are temporary and I have other issues which make me high risk. So this is my new approach and I have not been sick in a bout 2-3 weeks. First I cut sugar, chocolate, red meat, grease, most fruits and vegs from my diet. No eggs no milk. No fast or processed foods, no large meals. I started taking the professional version of Dr. Ohhira’s Probiotics, Looked on line and I start stomach enzymes(research showed me what the body needs to process foods) as soon as they arrive, but the most important thing I have done, I know its the reason I am able to know what I need to do I turned it over to god. I am walking in faith. No more worrying but instead praying. I eat salmon, tuna, chicken(small amounts) I eat sweet potato applesauce, banana, rice, apples. I drink caffeine free herbal tea, Ginger either candy or
cookies. It has bite but it settles my stomach. I tried peppermint not as good as ginger. The pain on my left side is almost gone, no more blood in my stool.
