Pain is back

Well i just saw the head gi dr atbthe clinic i use to go to. He read over all my notes from when i was in hospital. I still dont have the biopsy results. I told the dr of all my issues and he literally brushed me off. He handed me a copy of ct and bloodwork from when i was in hospital as well as all the notes from dr visits. He told me to take the copies to my new dr at UNC and tell them to pay close attention to the things highlighted. That was it. He did not examine my poor painful bum. I even had pics of blood i was passing. He wouldnt look at. Im glad i got copies of visits but i could have requested all that with out an appt. After i left there i looked at hospital notes. My ct scan showed inflammation from the terminal iliem all the way to the rectal. The colonoscopy showed a lot of congestion especially in sigmoid and descending colon. My blood work indicated that my sedrate on a scale from 1-30 mine was 46. The crp on a less than 1 scale mine was a 4.2. And this dr i saw today said there is definitely some type of inflammation going on but its not crohns. Thats when i said thanks for the notes and left. I guess i will be on my death bed when someone actually does something but then it will be too late. I sure hope the new dr i see on nov 17th can help.

I hope your new team are better at taking care of Crohns patients. Some odd behaviour from your previous team...

I’m so sorry Bucko. That’s utterly ridiculous and shouldn’t be acceptable!!! Your experience is horrific even compared to the NHS and they’re mega crape on a regular basis.

I want to say you need to be seen properly and immediately but they just don’t care, do they.

If you can’t wait until the Nov appointment and you are seen earlier, be it planned or not, can you refuse to leave until they actually help you? Ask for a second opinion, threaten to write to your local politician. Just make a scene! Remember, the noisiest cog gets fixed first.

Don’t let them not care anymore. Wish I could come and help. They need a big booting up their lazy asses, the lot of them!!

I'm so glad you like your new GI doctor. I read through your posts and I can't believe the other doctors just left you to suffer and only gave you a one-week taper of prednisone! Having a doctor who listens is so important! I hope you feel better soon.
