In the past year, I've awakened in a sweat. Anyone else have this problem with their Crohn's? It's either my body rejecting whatever food I've eaten or I'm in the beginning stages of menopause (I'm 45).

i have night sweats too, I am a 41 yo female (not showing any other signs of menopause-except hair falling out and I'm blaming that on the azasan). I know the prednisone does it to me (tapering now at 7 mg/day).

At the moment I'm having sweats both day & night, but I'm on pred, the weather is over 100, and also have low grade fever.
Oh well, such is life!!!

Hi Karin Cain't begin to tell you how much I am wishing they would go away I am in menapause too and have the night sweats and sweating during the day at times. I don't know how people have dealt with this for years .Praying it will stop some day. I do get more with the pred. but have to cope in order to keep things working better. Does anyone ever stop having them is what I would like to know. I keep waking up and it sure don't smell like it used to feeling glad I sleep alone . lol gail

I've had night sweats nearly every night for the past two years. I wake up drenched and have to change pajamas. Even if I just sleep in a tank top and shorts and only cover up with a sheet I still sweat puddles. I keep a big fluffy bath towel between the matress and the sheets to absorb all of the sweat. In the mornings when I wake up I feel exhausted and not well rested.

I have sweats both night and day. Hard to know what they are related too -- I've been in menapause for 8 years. Very frustrating.

I have had more arguments with my s/o this summer over air conditioning. He likes it warmer and I have to have it cooler or I break out in sweats. I just weaned off of pred, so we are getting along sl. better. I am not in menopause, I had a hysterectomy 28 years ago.

My experience is that it can be just part of the disease process, with or without prednisone, with or without fevers.
