That's very interesting! Thank you very much for sharing that.

I can certainly vouch for the TURMERIC. I can tell the difference within 24 hours of stopping my turmeric intake. I dissolve about a teaspoon in a glass of grape juice (the tastes work together - don't ask me) and chug it down daily. Really seems to help my gut and joints.

I always add it to my batches of home made Soups. Dr Andrew Weil recommends it as a powerful anti-inflammatory,
I quite like his approach to health and well-being.

pb4.....What a GREAT article. THANK YOU sooo much for posting it! It is funny....I have always felt better when eating the foods they mention in this article. And the times I feel awful is when I eat highly processed foods.

You might enjoy reading, "The Inflamation Free Diet Plan", by Monica Reinagel, www.books.mcgraw-hill.com is the publisher, ISBN 0-07-146471-9.

This book touches on the same info as the article you posted. Be ready for some suprises on the inflammation "factors" of the various foods!

I wish I could say I have implemented this diet, but for the most part I already enjoy alot of the foods that are mentioned in your article and this book. Have a good read!

I am SO glad there is much more research and information about food and CD and inflammation, etc. Alot of the info sounds very similar to the Maker's Diet. In fact, the first part of the diet encourages to eat lots of berries. It also says that dairy isn't good unless it's a live yogurt/cheese/or whole fresh cheese type product.

killerzoey, I have also the turmeric added in juice, tried it in water, but it was a shock to my tummy.

thanks for posting that article. Those recipes sound nummy. It's nice to know that we can still eat flavorful food and have it help with the inflammation

there is alot of info on these sites about different herbs used in traditional medicine.

one problem with these sites though is that, you must do your own search on the internet for papers on each plant. it is very hard to find studies of the effectiveness of the herbs.
