just wondering how often do you people who are on imuran and remicade go for blood test?
i've been on both since Dec.'06 and had only 2 blood test done.

I have to get them done every 3 months, or they won't refill my imuran. In the beginning, it was more often.....

Once a month, but I insist.
I am picky about
knowing my white cell count.

Every 3 months until the GI was sure she had the dose at the maxium I could tolerate. I have a further genetic factor that inhibits me taking higher doses than others with CD.

When I started Imuran I went for blood work once a week for about
2 months, then every other week for a while, and then every month, and if i were to stay on it, every year. I was told that blood work is VERY important to check and make sure that your liver and bone marrow are tolerating it well. You should check with your GI because they stressed that with me.

Hi I get a blood test every 3 months since I am on Remicade and Imuran. I would have your doctor
do a blood test for you a little more offen.
