Hello Everyone,

I am new to this chat room stuff. I was diagnosed about 1 1/2 years ago. I posted all the details earlier but did it as a reply to someone. It was lengthy and whinny. I've just felt terrible that last month or so and am looking for other people who are going through the same things. I am glad I found this site. looking forward to chatting with you all.

Now don't you go feeling that you need to apologise for saying how you've been feeling, its allowed, HW is a great site for support amongst fellow sufferers, we take it all, the good and the bad days, its all part of this Crohn's disease rollercoaster ride that we are on.

Welcome to healingwell.  There are a great bunch of people here.  Don't apologize for being whiny.  That's what awesome about this forum.  We all can empathize with you. =0)

Thanks Guys, reading the posts have been very informative too. It's good to have people to talk to. My 9 year old son tells me often that when he grows up he is going to find a cure for CD. He asks me a lot of questions and says he needs to know how it "works" so he can figure out how to fix it. Just wanted to let all you know there is hope. One little guy has big plans for us. :)

My hubby has had Crohn's for many years and he feels like crap lots of times so I can relate to how you feel.

You will find so many wonderful members in this forum.  I read here often.

"CRAPPY" is the operative here isn't it.LOL. Welcome to this healing well forum and family. You'll find so much support here, for 'crappy' days and good days as well. We all love to share our triumphs and better days as well as our nasty ones. This support group has made such a huge difference in my life. Everynight before I head to bed...I have to check on my crohnies.....
It's so comforting to know that others understand exactly what you are going through.
Welcome....come visit us often.

Hi and Welcome to HW hope that little fellow grows up fast. We all could use a cure. I find the support here helps with taking the edge off having CD and it is great to have so many people who have IBD here to talk to and learn from. lol gail

thanks everyone. I'm trying to get ahold of my GI. He's out of the state. I had a really bad night. Vicodin isn't working anymore. I'm trying to avoid the ER. I think I might have a fistula or abcess. I know there is narrowing but they haven't determined if it's scar tissue or inflammation. Does anyone know what to watch out for? I am in so much pain. But I am have BM but they are difficult to pass and painful. Pretty liquid and with a lot of mucous.

equinelvr - i am having a lot of the same symptoms as you right now so i really feel for you! i have an appointment with my gi in 2 weeks and from there i am either going to start on 6mp or possibly be referred to a surgeon. seems the pred is not helping with pain though it has helped with the d. my gi has a lot of cocern for my stricture, it could be what's keeping me in pain. so confusing this disease!

the story about your son is adorabe btw :)

Hey and welcome...I'm new to this site as well and got on for the same reasons you did. I haven't been able to get up with my GI in four mnths been seeing PA's, so it's good information and you can help people out in the process. Suffering with pain everyday makes it worse let me tell ya! I have two small boys so I know the feeling, my two year old says he has a belly ache at any doctors office or health facility because he sees me in pain so much. It's a sad thing to go through especially if you have kids because not only you suffer but whether you know it or not it effects them too :( I'm trying to get back on track here I've been stuck in a flare for quiet some time now...and when the doctors wont cooperate you start to lose hope a little bit. I'm sorry that you feel so bad and hopefully you will get better soon. Don't feel bad for complaining I do it all the time. I just try not to vent on the ones I love.....I just cry on here lol Take care hope to hear from you soon! -Kandice
