Anyone ever get cysts?  I just discovered a hard cyst the size of an olive under my right arm near the armpit.  It moves when I squeeze it between my fingers, which I think is a good sign.  I read that people with autoimmune diseases are more prone to getting lymphoma, which of course, freaked me out!  I'm going to the doctor next week to get it checked out.  In the mean time, any advice?  Thanks!

Hi Karin Maybe it will go away but glad your getting it checked out. Are those things usally moving around ? Gee Karin just hang in there till you get it checked. Maybe someone will know more about lumps. Will be waiting to hear what they say I guess there are times when we all might have wished we were a man .lol gail

is it painful or red? i got an abscess there a couple of months ago. make sure that it is not painful, red, or that you do not have fever or chills.

Unfortunately, men can get breast cancer, too.  In fact, it can be more serious for a man because 1. the most common type of breast cancer men get is pretty aggressive, and 2. men aren't taught to look for lumps like we are.

I've never had one as big as you're describing, but I've had pea sized cysts- usually under my right arm for some reason.  Mine are usually tender for a day or two and then they drain and disappear.  Occasionally I'll just have a sore, hard lump for a day or two, but it never rises to the surface and just goes away.

How are you feeling otherwise?  Could it be a swollen lymph node?

I had one like that a few months ago. It was really sore, but went away in a few days. I think it was from shaving.

I used to have them all the time, way before I ever started the Cade. I did not know what was going on, but basically it was the pores filling up with deoderant. Once I cleaned them out - if you know what I mean - and switched to a spray, I do not have them anymore.

if its comes to the surface and then drains its probably a clogged hair folicle and not a swollen lymphnode. although i believe that "acne" around areas where lymphnodes are present do indicate a stressed immune system.

(Broad generalization alert)

I am NOT A DOCTOR, but I have had cysts and the general wisdom is that if they move around, are soft, and/or if they hurt, it's not usually a cancer. Cancer is usually hard, immobile and painless.

That said, I would absolutely, positively get it checked out. You can learn from your doctor what to look for and what to do if it happens again.
