 I tried searching through the forum and couldnt really find anything pretaining to this issue.

 Some days I have numerous movements, after some time irritation takes place and I was curious if anyone would share any practices or products they use which aids in a situation like this. Sometimes the softest toilet paper feels like sand paper. I read in another post of someone using baby wipes heated with warm water, and it seemed worth trying.

 Just curious.

Charmin plus lotion, costs more, but at home it is all I use and it really saves me. If I know I am not in a good place I even carry it with me if I am giong to be out all day or on a trip.

Hi Vaseline when it gets sore and I must comment I get so tired of the toilet paper sticking to all the little this and that's that on the butt. lol gail

My GI recommended a product called Balneol.  It is over the counter in some pharmacies, and behind the counter in others, so you may have to ask.  It is a lotion-cleanser.  It's very soothing.  You put a little of it on your toilet paper to enhance cleaning after using the bathroom, and it protects the area after use, much like hand lotion takes care of your hands. 

I got my bottle for around $15 at WalMart.  It should go a long way, since you only use a little bit at a time.

Balneol's been very helpful to me, too. One bottle lasts forever. And lots and lots of warm baths help. Good luck!

When I have heavy D days the baby wipes really help. You can also try patting dry vs. wiping. That alone can help with the irritation. What is burning your bottom is bile from going so much. Its very acidic and burns those tender areas. I use my grandson's Desitin cream and it helps.

Desitin now comes in clear and I own two tubes...one for purse, one for home. I will look inot that Balneol, but I just find the Desitin a cheap effective method for me now. It has been a savior in the really painful days. Warm sitz baths are great at home. i also use my hand held shower on warm whenever I can
