yellow mucus-what does it mean?

Hi I v'e been have mucus in my stool (mucus mixed in stool) and that's a new symptoms that I have since last friday...my crohn's is active and it's in my terminal ileum ...tonight I had severe cramping and when to the bathroom and only yellow mucus came out

do you guys know what it means? I am worried

This is normal, I've been getting it every few days the last week. It is scary when it first happens, but it's a normal reaction (even ppl without CD).
Your intestines are inflamed and mucus comes out as a reaction. If it gets severe or blood happens call your doctor asap, but next time you see your doc advise that you had this happen. I have my CD in my terminal ileum too, and was on entocort and pentasa. Recently taken off it, and put onto pred and back on the pentasa as it helped.

I agree with thenay. But wanted to add that the yellow color could be caused by bile. Especially is you are having alot of D. Good Luck!
