is it crohn's?

Hey Everyone!!

I haven't been diagnosed with CD yet, I'm still waiting for my CT Scan appt and Barium X-Ray appt.

It started one day at work when I felt like someone had taken my insides and tied them in a knot so that it hurt like hell to stand up. I went to a walk in clinic and the dr said it wasn't appendicitis because I didn't have a fever but it's more likely a bladder infection. - yeah right.

2 more visits to a walk in clinic had dr's saying it could be appendicitis, but I didn't have a fever. This whole time I couldn't get in to see my family dr.

Saw him eventually and after poking and prodding my abdomen he never said what he thought it would be. My SED rate is elevated, my neutrophils have been high for 3 months and yet it's taking forever to get a dx!!

When I was in emerg not too long ago the Dr said he thought it could be CD but because of my family hx of gallbladder disease he did an ultrasound and it showed that and xrays showed nothing. So after being pumped full of morphine and gravol I was given a prescription for t3's and given 4 oxycodin. It's been completely ruled out that I don't have gallstones, kidney stones, appendicitis or anything.

Now I'm waiting for my xray and ct scans to tell me what the hell is going on. There's this constant pain in my lower right side that gets worse if I eat. I can't eat as much as I used to anymore, and all I want to do is sleep because I feel so run-down. My bm's vary from diarrhea to constipation but nothing "normal". I haven't thrown up nor do I have a fever, but still feel like crap; I know somethings not right in there.

I do have a very very high tolerance to pain which I think makes it a little more difficult (I walked 2 blocks on a broken ankle to get help because those I was with didn't believe I did it, and neither did the emerg dr).

What do you think? I know it's hard to dx without any dr's saying for sure what it is, but I'm getting so frustrated. I have no sick time left at work because of this thing and t3's don't help and I'm all out of oxycodin.

I had the occult blood, culture and para done and all were negative. At the time however, my bm's weren't going normally and the samples may not have been the best. I guess it's just all so annoying because it seems so easy to just take the day off work and have all xrays, colonscopies, etc done in one day and the next week have a dx.

No endoscopy yet probably because I'm waiting for my xray stuff. Up here there's like a 2 month waiting list for barium x-rays and a month for ct scans. I was almost hoping things would get so bad I'd take myself to emerg and make them do it!!!!

I haven't lost weight, I don't think, but I feel slimmer but huge and swollen at the same time. My extremities even swelled up a couple of times during my flare-ups.

All the tests were done about a month ago or so. Now I guess I just have to wait for the dx.
