please help, bump on butt

Sorry for the repeat post but this is driving me crazy.  I have a small pink pimple looking sore on my butt right next to my fistula.  When my friend pushed on it, clear fluid came out but it is still there. (it didn't pop or anything)  It hurts down there really bad.  I called the doc and the soonest they can get me in is Thursday. He said it sounded like an abscess or fistula but previous fistula didn't start out like this and it's right next to the current one.  If anyone can tell me if this is an abscess or not.  The bump is pretty small and i wasn't sure what size perianal abscess' usually are.  Other symptoms include-lower stomach pain, tailbone pain, butt pain, butt itching and burning.  Also, have had diaherra and muscle and joint pain. These all may or may not be part of the bump problem but maybe my crohn's just acting up.  Also, forgot to mention that Friday morning had bleeding start where the bump is now but that was the only time.  After that is when i noticed it.  If anyone can tell me what this is I would really appreciate it!

your doc is right it's an abscess fistula. my fistulas started from the intestine wall 6-8 inches above the sphincter inside the rectum and they went outward to the skin about 2-3 inches around the anus till they broke the skin. very painful and that is how I ended up in a bag as the

fistulas were passing fecal matter through them and they would not dry up and no amount of surgery was working. They put me in a bag and fistulas dried out and no more butt pain.

hope it's not as bad for you as it was for me.

rkilcher- boy you sure have one good friend. I think this is your second post where your friend helped you look at whatever ails you down there. By him or her a thank you gift :) Now as for your doctor not getting you in asap. As of this point you only have to wait 24 hours. If you are not in excrutiating pain, I would probably tough it out. But for future reference here is an idea that may put some pressure on the docs office (but it can backfire.) A lot of insurance companies require you to notify them if you are going to the ER. I would call them and say "I tried to see my doc but he told me he can't see and is sending me to the ER." Since insurance companies don't like to pay ER fees they may give your doctor crap for not getting you in earlier. The downside is they could end up deciding not to pay your ER bill since your doc said it could wait till Thursday. Or, if you make your doctor sound bad enough, they could drop him/her. So, Ive never tried the idea but I thought it might work. Maybe Ill post this seperate to see if anyone had any luck doing it.

Its a fistula trying to come up through the skin I had several in the area they hurt and are sore as hell a very sharp stinging opening.
I would wait as the ER would not do much and may just admit you and add cost to the insurance.
Take a "HOT as you can stand it" soak in the bath and use epson salt it help me get by.

md dave, are you saying that the small bump is an abscess? 

 A fistula is much like an abscess. In my case I had 5 fistulas that tunneled out from the intestine

and came out my bottom all around my anus and leaked fecal matter from each fistula that causes infection.

btw...i had 3 seton or rubber bands they are there to keep the fistula open and let it drain.

but when you start getting 3-5 going on down there it's a problem.

Fistulas are not un common with crohns and in my case they were comming in faster then they

could be treated.

they can they have a mind of there own with no ryme or reason.
just think of them as roots to a tree stump.
