 Hi my computer is now working...lots of catching up to do .....

I had my first infusion of abatacept this morning....so far so good :-) no side effect

Hi Jackie glad to have you back .So you got your first IV in that is great. How long before your next one and how often do you have them.Is this the first time you had IV meds for CD I guess I was wondering if you took the Rem. Keep in touch . lol gail

thanks guys-Gail I will go every 2 week 3X then every month ....this is my first iv infusion

gail- are you doing the cimza study?

Hi Jackie No I'am not doing it haven't heard from them they were supposed to send me some info. I did get a lung function test done threw my GP and waiting on results for that. Some things seemed to be not too bad I think on my test.. I am just on pred. and no folllow up visit with my GI because he was going to send me off for a second opinion because of the lung issue. As far as the study on that went a person has to go off the pred. for 4 weeks and then start it again so more for those not on pred I guess, time a person weans off and stays off it would be a long haul ,more for those in better shape then me and hoping for a flare I guess.. which I am not It's a ways off to travel too and my teens car is old. So just waiting to see how things go .Keep letting us know how your doing and what differences you notice. lol gail

When I took my FIL to chemo last week, they had an RA patient taking abatacept. So far so good for her, hopefully it will work with CD without all the side effects we seem to be having from the other biologics. Keep us posted.

Gail, I'm sorry you haven't heard back yet. Hopefully your lung issues will turn out to be a non-issue and you can still get into the trial. Lots of trials have late starters.
