I have a little lump a little forward of the peri-anal area. It hurts to touch or to sit on. Is this a regular little pimple? or do I worry about
anything else? The surrounding area also feels warm, but I think it's too close to the vulva area for it to be anything else. Does anyone
have any ideas what it could be & what I could put on it? Thanks guys.

could be a cyst or a fistula as well.
I had something VERY similar to that, similar
location, hurt to sit on, to touch and all that, I went to my doc and we figured it a cyst and she gave me meds to soften it or something, not sure what it did, but it did make the lump less painful, smaller and..well then it started to drain and a year later its still draining, we figure what started or we thought was a cyst is now a fistula, not sure yet, need to get my gastro to check. Best bet is talk to your doctor (or gastro), they can give you antibiotics, or if its a soft cyst, they can drain it, and if its a fistula someone else will have to describe what they can do for that since I am not there yet.

Lady, I was wondering too if it could be a sabaceous (sp) cyst. Thanks for your quick response, and like you I haven't been there yet either.
It is making my leg ache as well. I swear if it's not one thing it's another. I guess thats the nature of the beast.

yeah I know what you mean about
the one thing or another...and your welcome...hopefully its nothing to major for you. Its not really major for me though, its just an annoyance til it gets solved or rid of...the draining is REALLY annoying me after a year of it. I can't remember if mine made my leg hurt though...best bet is the doc of course. But even with me the doc was a bit wrong and now wants a gastro involved, so maybe starting with them is better. Hopefully someone else can be a bit more help.

Could be a number of things, so definitely go see your doc, but in the meantime you might try some hydrocortisone 1% cream on it to lessen the irritation!

With your disease history, I would certainly have it checked out by your doctor (because you don't have enough problems, lol). You might also want to try sitz baths see if it helps until then.

It seems a little better this morning after applying cortisone and antibiotic. I'm hoping it's just a little cyst. I have one of those
before, and this does feel e little like that. I'm determined to not have anymore problems!! Thanks Judy LOL.

oh yeah, in terms of helping pain or softening it I remember my doc told me to heat up a heating pad or compress and apply it to the area for a bit, that might help with pain and all too, along with the warm baths or sitzs that others mentioned.

I hear lump and anal region I think rectal abscess. I'm on my forth one right now. My first 3 had to be removed (the last one just 3 weeks ago). I actually have another small one right now that my surgeon hopes will go away. - pup
