 hi..I am getting ready to start taking entocort, the pharmacy wrote one pill three times a day but I thought my doctor told me 3 pills once a day. any one know if its split up or taken all at once? I left a message with the doctor but wanted to start. thanks

The last 3 times I took Entocort I took all together at same time of day.

When I took 3 pills I took one at each meal. I could have been wrong though?

i'm on entocort 3x daily. my doc said it didn't matter if i took them all together or 3x daily. since i take so many other pills i just spread them out with my others. whatever is easier for you...hope this helps:-)

i find that if i take them spread out i really don't sleep so I take all 3 in the am and i at least get 4 hours of sleep...

but i dont think it matters too much how you take them

Your doc is right. The pharmacist is wrong. 

The prescribing instructions from the manufacturer of Entocort clearly state, "The recommended adult dosage for the treatment of mild to moderate active Crohn's Disease involving the terminal ileum and/or ascending colon is 9 mg taken once daily in the morning for up to 8 weeks":

I asked my pharmacist why 3 at once instead of spacing them.  He said it's to spike the level of the steriod.

I have been on entocort for the past 4 yrs and i take all 3 pills at the same time in the am.

I take all 3 with breakfast, i find if i miss them at breakfasst and take them at any other time im in alot of pain in the pm....worse pain than normal
