Entocort = $500/month

When I took my scrip to the pharmacist she gave me the news that my Together RX card wouldn’t reduce the price any and it was $500 for 100 caps.

I see Canadian pharmacies advertising it for about $200. Has anyone had any experience dealing with them?

wow, guys...that is alot...and i realized entocort is still fairly a new medication, but that is alot for a steroid pill. I live in Canada and i take entocort. i think full price is like $125 for 90 caps...but i got mine specially authorized by my physician so usually its just about $25 for 90.  This last fill it was completely free actually...musta hit a deductable...I just wish it made me feel as good as it used to :(

In Canada its about $200 for 100 pills, at least in Toronto, ON :)

I only paid 20% when I was on that drug, that rest was covered by my work.

Depending on where you live you may ask your doc or pharmacist or social services people if your town (or one nearby) has a Canadian drug program. When I worked in the inner city there was a program where they would take either people or their prescriptions and fill them in Canada and then bring them back. It was a social service program and all you were responsible for was the cost of the Canadian drug. I am not sure exactly how it was legal but it was recognized by the city. Also, if you have any kind of Indian tribe in your area (a large one with reservation territory) their pharmacies can legally get drugs from Canada as well (outside FDA I guess.) So if you fill it on a reservation you can ask that the drug come from Canada and it should be cheaper that way.

there is a program you can look into, I'm not sure what you need to qualify but its freemedicinerevolution.com or partnership for prescription assistance program thats the one montell williams ha the commercial for. Its worth a try. like I said i'm not sure if its for people without insurance or that have limited insurance.

On December 24 I mailed my doctor's office a copy of the email from Prometheus which said they had no patient programs and that I should have my doctor call for for samples.  Yesterday I got a call from the office to come pick up three boxes of samples!

They come six pills to a bottle--a two-day supply  which seems a ridiculously small quantity per bottle. 

I hope no one from Prometheus or Astra Z is reading this as the value of the pills I was just given is over  $1,000.  I don't feel guilty 'cause I've already laid out over $500 and I'm not finding them to be that effective for me. I'm going to do a post inquiry soon as to how effective other people have found it.  At the cost I paid they ought to be miracle pills.
