Prometheus Infliximab HACA test

 I was sent to take this test a week ago, after being told that insurance would not cover it and would be $250, that I am no longer to take Remicade.

I had only had 3 infusions and had reactions with the last one.  The dr called and set up an appointment for Wednesday. So was wondering what everyone thought the next step would be.........I cant take Humira due to having the pyoderma. Cant take other things due to having primary bilary chirrosis ( liver issues). Have taken Asacol and other pill forms of help and nothing has seemed to work.  With the Remicade it finally seemed to get this thing under some form of control. 

Was wondering if anyone else has been here and done this and coupld offer advie and wisdom. This is such a great place to come and get suupport and answers.

Sorry to hear it. I was in the exact position. I ended up having to have surgery because my doctors couldn't agree on how to treat me after that, my disease got out of control fast. At least your doctors ordered the test right away and got some answers for you. Your next step will depend on your disease progression and if they can come up with another medication. Not sure where you go from here, but try to get on something quick, you want to do whatever you can to keep your remission. You could even try Asacol, sometimes drugs that won't put you into remission, may help keep you in remission.
